Faced with this reality, the Sons of Prometheus developed Phénix - a discreet, surgically precise tool built for those who have understood that digital freedom begins with mastering your own trace.
What X doesn’t tell you
Deleting a post from X’s official interface is an act of faith. The platform claims to erase the content. But third-party archives, scraping bots, sentiment-analysis databases - they don’t forget. The only moment you can truly control your footprint is before it gets vacuumed up.
Phénix does not use X’s official API. It does not need your password. It does not pass through any external server. It acts directly inside your open session, simulating human clicks on X’s interface - as if you were deleting each post yourself, one by one.
What the tool can do
Phénix covers your entire footprint on X:
- Original posts - your publications, your opinions, your 3am thoughts
- Reposts - everything you relayed and now regret amplifying
- Replies - threads you no longer stand behind
- Approvals - the silent endorsements you handed out without thinking
Filters are designed for intelligent deletion, not blind sweeping. You can target only content older than a specific date, preserve what had impact (by setting a likes or reposts threshold), or aim only at posts containing specific keywords. The result: you don’t lose your digital capital - you take back the helm.
Stealth mode: the art of going unnoticed
This is the detail that sets Phénix apart from a brute-force deletion script. X detects automated behaviour - too regular, too fast, too mechanical a rhythm. Phénix mimics a tired human: random delays between each action, unpredictable micro-pauses, organic scrolls, long pauses between batches.
“Very slow / stealth” mode is on by default. That’s not caution - it’s wisdom. A few hundred actions per session, then silence. Come back tomorrow.
Resistance that lasts is resistance that knows when to stop.
Installation in three minutes
- Open
chrome://extensionsin your browser - Enable Developer mode (toggle in the top right)
- Click Load unpacked → select the extracted folder
- The orange phoenix Sons of Prometheus icon appears in your toolbar
No account to create. No API key to obtain. No data leaves your machine.
The tool lets you select your posts, reposts, and comments, enter a keyword, or make a selection by date.
You can choose what you erase surgically, or go full “full-blast” mode if you want to start fresh with a clean account.
Limits you need to know
Honesty is a Promethean value. Phénix is a powerful tool, but it has constraints:
X changes its interface regularly. If the tool stops working overnight, it’s likely because an internal selector changed on X’s side. The content.js file contains those selectors - they can be updated.
Deletion is permanent. There is no undo. Always test first with a low limit (5 posts) and a precise keyword filter to verify the behaviour before launching a large purge.
Personal use only. This tool is designed to act on your own account, in your own session. Using it on someone else’s account would be a violation - of the law, and of our values.
Against X’s Terms of Service. Automating the interface is technically prohibited by X Corp. Stealth mode reduces the risk; it does not eliminate it. A captcha may appear: stop, solve it, wait a few hours.
Reclaim what is yours
